Biography

Will Coones is a Licensed Associate Counselor dedicated to supporting adults as they navigate emotional challenges, relationships, life stressors, and personal growth. He provides individual therapy for clients ages 18 and older. Will believes that each person is the expert on their own life, and his role is to walk alongside clients with empathy, genuineness, and unconditional positive regard as they explore their experiences, identify their strengths, and work toward meaningful change.

Will's clinical approach is grounded in person-centered principles and emphasizes creating a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where clients can openly explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of criticism. He is committed to honoring each client's unique story, values, identity, relationships, and pace of healing. As an LGBTQ+ affirming counselor, Will strives to provide an inclusive environment where every client feels respected, validated, heard, and supported.

His therapeutic approach is integrative, incorporating evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and mindfulness-based techniques. Through his work in emotional challenges therapy, he helps clients identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, build on their existing strengths, develop practical coping skills, increase present-moment awareness, and gain a greater sense of confidence and autonomy.

Will is passionate about helping clients uncover their strengths, understand their autonomy, and feel genuinely heard throughout the therapeutic process.

He completed his bachelor's degree with a major in Psychology and a minor in Sociology at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. He went on to complete his graduate degree in Mental Health and Counseling at Southern Arkansas University.

As a Northwest Arkansas native, Will has a deep appreciation for the natural beauty of the Ozarks. Outside of his clinical work, he enjoys spending time in nature and exploring the area's many trail systems through cycling, running, and leisurely walks. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends and attending as many Arkansas Razorback games as possible throughout the year.
