Valerie Champagne is a counselor-in-training who provides a warm and collaborative space for growth and healing. She utilizes person-centered therapy and strengths-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients build resilience and navigate life transitions. Valerie also integrates a cognitive–narrative perspective, empowering clients to challenge unhelpful patterns and become the authors of their own life stories.
She works with individuals experiencing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and personality disorders, and collaborates with prescribing providers to support clients engaged in medication management. Valerie offers Christian perspective counseling when requested and takes a holistic approach to mental health, recognizing the role of nutrition, exercise, and lifestyle in emotional well-being.
She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Arkansas and is currently finishing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Southern Arkansas University.
Valerie currently offers low-cost (and in some cases pro bono) therapy options with a rate of $30 per hour.
