Melody Mathis

 Melody is an undergraduate student at John Brown University, where she is double-majoring in Family & Human Services and Spanish. She plans to pursue a career as a therapist, with a desire to serve individuals, couples, and families, especially those in Spanish-speaking communities.

Melody is especially drawn to Family Systems Theory and values understanding people within the context of their relationships and experiences. She is passionate about helping others navigate interpersonal conflict in healthy, constructive ways. She also cares deeply about creating a space where clients feel seen, heard, and accepted as they walk through life’s challenges.

At the practice, Melody assists at the front desk and on the phone (she’s excited to meet you!). She is eager to continue learning and would be grateful for opportunities to observe sessions with clients who are open to having a student present.

Outside of her work and studies, Melody enjoys caring for her husky and tending to her ever-growing collection of plants.
