Jeanie Shade LCSW is a licensed certified social worker with eight years of experience in providing mental health services to both teens and adults. Jeanie’s counseling style embodies the principles of client-centered therapy, focusing on being present with clients—listening deeply and witnessing their experiences. By employing a client-centered approach, she seeks to understand each individual’s goals for therapy while providing a nurturing space for listening, guidance, insight, and gentle feedback aimed at fostering change. In her sessions, Jeanie utilizes a skills-based approach, ensuring that clients leave with practical strategies to experiment with and apply in their lives. These skills encompass mindfulness, emotional intelligence, learning centeredness and grounding, enhancing self-love, distinguishing between surviving skills and thriving skills, and exploring personal beliefs and their impact on life narratives. Jeanie’s objective is to help clients integrate practical behavioral methods with profound insights, promoting transformation and personal growth.
With twenty years of diverse experience in various roles, primarily within non-profit mental health organizations, Jeanie has built a robust foundation in her field. A significant portion of her clinical expertise was acquired as a social worker at an acute psychiatric hospital in Missoula, Montana. In 2010, she earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Montana in Missoula.
An enthusiastic outdoorswoman, Jeanie enjoys the natural beauty of Arkansas, which she affectionately describes as a “mini-Montana.” Her regular activities include hiking, biking, camping, kayaking, rock climbing, and backpacking, along with a competitive game of tennis or pickleball.
