Brittany Henderson Counseling

Smiling woman in blazer standing against gray wall.

Biography

Brittany is a Counseling Intern currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Arkansas. She believes that healing occurs when individuals feel seen, heard, understood, and supported in the midst of pain, especially in the context of mental health challenges.

Committed to her role as a Counseling Intern, Brittany strives to create a safe and welcoming space where clients can feel comfortable being their authentic selves. She values authenticity, presence, and the importance of meeting clients where they are, honoring the courage and vulnerability required to show up for therapy.

Brittany particularly enjoys working with college students, teens, and adults, and she has a keen interest in providing support for issues like PTSD, suicidal ideation, self-harm, depression, and anxiety. Her clinical approach is grounded in Relational Cultural Theory (RCT) and trauma-informed care, emphasizing connection, safety, and the healing power of the therapeutic relationship.

Outside of her clinical work in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Brittany enjoys reading psychology books, spending time in the sun, and connecting with loved ones and friends.

Rates for Therapy Services

Brittany currently offers low-cost therapy options, including PTSD therapy, with some services available pro bono, at a rate of $30 per hour as part of her role as a Counseling Intern in Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
