Alexis is a therapist-in-training at the University of Arkansas. She is on track to become a Certified Adventure Therapist who blends the healing power of nature and movement with her background in teaching art. Alexis developed an art in nature program for adults that landed her on the College of Education and Health Professions Dean’s List.
She is passionate about finding healing through a cognitive behavioral approach that focuses on making change through the interrelated connection of thoughts, feelings, and actions. Clients will work in collaboration with Alexis through various interventions with the optional inclusion of nature, movement, and art.
Outside of her therapist role, Alexis works as a Northwest Arkansas adventure guide and runs a craft show for local artists. If she’s not hiking, she’s water-coloring; if she’s not water-coloring, she’s hiking!
Alexis currently offers low-cost (and in some cases pro bono) therapy options with a rate of $30 per hour.
